We know that plants help to beautify your home and make it feel more welcoming. But not only do plants “help to make your house a home”, they also act as natures own air purifiers. During the eighties NASA was looking for ways to filter and purify air on space stations. One of the things they learned was that the same tropical plants that we use to decorate your home would help in this endeavor.
The NASA study identified numerous plants that excelled at removing common household toxins from the air. Chinese Evergreens, Ivies, Peace Lilies, Palms and Philodendrons, just to name a few, are at the top of the list of air purifiers. This is a win win since these plants make up the core of our interiorscape designs. They beautify your home while making it a safer place for you and your family to live.
